Some changes creep in so slowly, you barely notice them happening.
That’s where Ursina found herself a few years ago.
Ursina was active, outdoorsy, and into bouldering, but even with all that, her lifestyle still had quietly become more sedentary. The meals stayed the same, the habits didn’t shift much, and over time the numbers on the scale inched upward until she found herself at 74 kg, standing at 158.5 cm.
She wasn’t happy with how she felt in her body. Her clothes fit tighter, her energy wasn’t the same, and her climbing buddy was slowly overtaking her on the wall, which, she admits, really got under her skin.
Still, none of that was quite enough to spark real change. Not yet.
Then came the accident.
It wasn’t a huge injury, just a fall on the knee while mountain biking. But it kept her off the bouldering wall for a while, and more importantly, it lit a fire.
“If I don’t do something now, I’ll just keep gaining.”
So she did something. She started counting calories, moving more and building new routines: the short, manageable ones that she could actually stick to. That’s when she found Impakt.
The bodyweight workouts on the app were simple and enjoyable, which made it easier to stick with them. No overthinking, no pressure, just open the app, get moving, and feel better. And that momentum? It carried her through an incredible 11-month stretch where she dropped 22 kilos and landed at 52 kg. Stronger, leaner and feeling amazing.
But here’s where Ursina’s story gets even more real.
Because maintaining that weight? Turns out it’s a whole other challenge.
Last year, life threw her a hard one, her pets got sick, and she fell into an emotional low. The structure she’d built crumbled. The strict routines, the food tracking, the daily movement, it all started to slip. And needless to say, the weight crept back up.
Now she’s sitting at 60 kg.
But this time, it’s different. Because she knows she’s not “back at the beginning.” She’s not starting from scratch. She’s starting from experience.
“I’m aiming for 55 kg now. It feels like a sweet spot - healthy, strong, good for my climbing, but also sustainable.”
Ursina’s approach was never about extremes. No crash diets. No punishments. Just clear, honest habits that added up. Here’s what helped her lose 22 kg, and what she’s bringing with her into this next chapter:
So here she is, ready to start again, but not in a dramatic, “new year, new me” kind of way. Just a quiet recommitment to what she knows works.
“I guess I’ll take my own advice and get back on it. Who’s joining in?”

Ursina, thank you for sharing your story with so much honesty. It’s a reminder that progress isn’t always a straight line. That sometimes it slips, sometimes it hurts, sometimes it stalls, but it’s always within reach again.
You’ve shown that real change is about being consistent, not perfect. And that showing up - even imperfectly, is still showing up.
